I have been conducting polygraphs for 2 years now and what I have found out over this short time is that I have been limiting my CQs to only those that I was taught in polygraph school. I know there are a lot more out there. If anyone out there has a list of CQs as well as RQs dealing with rape, robbery, assault, arson,or any other crime, please forward them to me. I know asking this seems a little elementary but I recently attended a class in Columbia SC and I found that there is so much more out there that could help me polish my craft. If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it. IP: Logged |

Hey duck. I don't have a list, but I primarily use Matte's book. He has a section that lists hundred of them. Also, I reccomend taking one of Skipp Webb's classes; he has an excellent control question, construction segment. I think he goes to most state and fed seminars. I have met some guys that like to use lie questions for all controls. Not something I reccomend, but it came to mind when I was typing this. "Forensic Psychophysiology--Using the Polygraph"I got the disks in the academy and have the hardcover at my desk. It has 18 pages of comparisons, broken down by crime. Now, I dont copy them verbatim, but I use them as a starting point then modify them as needed. On a side note (I have less experience then you by the way) everwhere I go I take the Matte book and the red, Reid Investigators Anthololgy book. The latter gives ideas on BAI's and Interrogation Themes broken down by different types of crimes. IP: Logged |

Billy Thompson the Director of Maryland Institute of Criminal Justice had put together exactly what you are looking for. I've been using it as a resource for the past nine years and its worth the minimal price that he charges. Outside of MICJ I don't recall where I got them but there are some nice Polygraph Reference Single Sheet (Laminated) available too. If you drop me an email, I will check on the source when I get home. Both of these are in my "To Go" bag for polygraph... Tony IP: Logged |

If you use a lap top and know how to open a few screens (and minimize) at once - have a document on CQ’s (sectioned off like Matte’s book) and also a document on Themes right on your desktop. That’s what I have just in case I have a moment or a real difficult examinee. That way the examinee has no idea you are referring to anything other than your pretest material.IP: Logged |
